More about us

sailorsuit

Websites

SAILOR SUIT is an RYA Recognised Training Centre based at Alimos Marina in Athens — Europe’s most ancient sailing playground — offering practical sailing courses for every level, from complete beginner to confident skipper. Annually inspected and powered by a team of internationally-experienced RYA Instructors, the school delivers its courses aboard private cabins or private sailing on its training vessels, including a spacious catamaran, alongside RYA online theory and classroom sessions at its Alimos facility. Its range spans RYA Competent Crew, RYA Day Skipper, and a combined fast-track bundle, plus a Skipper’s Corner of post-license services — charters, personalised instruction, mile-building, and professional crew. The site needed to present that full journey clearly — practical and theoretical, landlubber to sea master — and carry a custom booking system that handles enquiries and reservations across both practical courses and theory modules. In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform with a bespoke course-booking form, bringing the courses, the campus, the vessels, and the Skipper’s Corner together into one easy-to-navigate home.

Websites

TESSA is a Greek construction and technical company contributing to a better tomorrow for more than four decades. Founded in 1980 by Christos Besiris and Naoum Passias, the company has successfully completed a large number of complex construction projects of every scale, evolving continuously through innovative solutions and practices and establishing its position and recognition in the technical and construction sector. Its vision is to lead the industry — not necessarily in size, but by always offering specialised, sustainable solutions that combine quality, innovation, and durability, contributing to the development of the technical sector and the prosperity of the society it represents. The work spans the full lifecycle: from design and construction through to operation and maintenance, across six fields of activity. In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the company story, the fields of activity, the values, and the project portfolio together into one authoritative, easy-to-maintain home.

mediplants

Websites

Mediplants began in 1983 in the city of Serres, founded by two practising pharmacists with a clear purpose: the research and cultivation of aromatic medicinal plants and their processing into the raw materials needed for galenic (compounded) preparations. From cutting and standardising pharmacopoeia raw materials, the company grew into an EOF-approved laboratory producing pharmaceutical and cosmetic products — putting basic galenic preparations into circulation and introducing the first Pharmaceutical Alcohol established for exclusive sale through pharmacies. Today Mediplants produces the majority of what it sells in-house, owning the full production process from raw-material supply to distribution to pharmacies and hospitals, with an unwavering focus on the pharmacy laboratory and the pharmacist’s role as a healthcare professional. The company needed a corporate platform that communicates this heritage, the breadth of its product categories, and its GMP-grade quality credentials — while serving a clear B2B path for pharmacists seeking a stable supply partnership. In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the company story, the products, the quality principles, and the pharmacist-partnership path together into one authoritative, easy-to-maintain home.

melevators

Websites

Mathioudakis Elevators is a Greek elevator company with more than 40 years in the field — founded as a sole proprietorship by Christos Mathioudakis in Kallithea, Attica in 1979 and passed to the next generation in 2007. Lifting thousands of people safely every day, it is among the most dynamic and recognisable names in the Greek elevator sector, known for personalised service and a continuous drive to evolve. Its offering is complete: installation, upgrade, maintenance, technical support, and certification of lifting equipment, all delivered to current legislation and European standards. The company needed a corporate platform that communicates the breadth of those five services, the tiered maintenance plans, the regulatory context that drives demand (certification deadlines, upgrade obligations), and the deep technical support it offers across virtually every elevator brand on the market. In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the company story, the services, the maintenance plans, and the technical credentials together into one authoritative, easy-to-maintain home.

onar

Eshops - b2b

ONAR — “Everything about sleep” — is a Greek mattress company based in Thessaloniki, creating the conditions for better, more restful sleep. The brand is consultative by nature: before a purchase, ONAR talks with the customer and recommends solutions based on their needs. The company needed an online store that could carry that depth — a configurable, well-structured catalogue with the guidance ONAR is known for — while staying easy for the team to manage. Designed and developed end to end by Kukarika on WooCommerce, the store brings the product range, the made-to-measure options, the materials story, and the consultative path together into one easy-to-shop home.

Designed and developed end to end by Kukarika on a custom WordPress + ACF foundation, the site brings the portfolio, the personal story, the range of photography services, and the booking path together into one quietly elegant home.

Seven years in, the partnership continues — the platform has expanded alongside IPPOG’s mission, and every release still flows through the same engineering team that started it.

slam

Websites

This is a UKRI-funded language documentation project led by Professor Ioanna Sitaridou at the University of Cambridge, working to document a critically endangered language — Sri Lanka Portuguese (SLP) — among Afrodescendant communities in north-western Sri Lanka. The project focuses on manja, the chant-like songs that carry the only remaining linguistic and cultural expression of African heritage for these communities — “Poverty is our plight and manja is our only inheritance,” in the words of the speakers themselves. Combining language documentation, analysis, and historical reconstruction, the project studies language change and contact while helping communities recover, preserve, and share their linguistic history. The website had to communicate all of that — the research, the team, the cultural context, the field-recorded manjas — with the care the subject demands, and stay easy for a multilingual, multicultural research team spanning Cambridge and Maputo to keep current as the documentation grows. In collaboration with Hervik Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the project narrative, the team bios, the manja video archive, and the academic outputs together into one respectful, citation-ready home.

zinideos

Websites

Zinideos is a winery in the Pella prefecture of northern Greece, working three vineyards across the Almopia region and operating two cellars — at Loutraki and at Neromyloi. The estate cultivates native and international varieties — Amassi, Robola, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Malagouzia, Xinomavro, Mavrotragano, and Syrah — and produces a curated range of labels designed to speak to its philosophy through every sip, whether they’re tasted alone or as a blend. The Neromyloi vineyard, established by Zinideos on previously uncultivated land across 30 stremmata, holds a sharp day-to-night temperature swing that gives the grapes a long, slow ripening — and yields reds with striking concentration, complexity, and ageing potential, alongside aromatic whites with characteristic intensity. The website had to honour that terroir story — the Pella land, the three vineyards, the two cellars, the variety encyclopedia, the wines themselves — without ever losing the warmth that makes Zinideos read as a home, not a brand showcase. In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the vineyards, the cellars, the wines, and the philosophy together under one image-first roof — and gives the Zinideos team direct control over every new vintage as it ships.

ipodomi techniki

Websites

Ipodomi Techniki is a modern Architecture-Engineering-Construction & Development firm built at the intersection of nearly six decades of construction experience and a tech-forward present. The studio designs residences, offices, commercial stores, tourist accommodation, and hospitality venues — in both new and existing buildings — and runs two distinct specialisms side by side: deep expertise in monument restoration, and a steadily growing practice in contemporary architecture of distinctive character. The studio’s DNA is technological: BIM design, Scan-to-BIM, Digital Twins, IoT, AR, VR, sustainability, and smart building design are everyday tools, not future-state ambitions. A multidisciplinary team of architectural, civil, mechanical, and surveyor engineers works alongside project managers, economists, business managers, administrative staff, and the firm’s permanent skilled workforce. In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the portfolio, the technological capabilities, the service spectrum, and the team profile together into one coherent home — image-first, scalable, and easy for the firm to keep current as new projects ship.

elektrathassos

Websites

Elektra Comfort Hotel is a family-run boutique hotel in Skala Prinou on the island of Thassos — a place dedicated to hospitality since 1974, crafted with love and care, just two steps from the sea. Across fifty years it has grown from a seaside haven into a refined Mediterranean retreat: 28 bright, minimalist rooms in three types, an uncompromising blend of aesthetics and functionality, fitted with COCO-MAT mattresses and pillows and balconies opening to sea or mountain views. Today, with the baton passed to the next generation — Konstantinos, who preserves the essence of authentic accommodation while embracing innovation and sustainability, and Lefteris, whose attention to taste runs from the coffee to the kitchen — the hotel pairs unpretentious warmth with attention to the last detail. The 2022 unveiling of Elektra Comfort Hotel introduced the Pinch of Salt Restaurant, enriching the guest experience with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and fine drinking. The website had to capture all of that — the rooms, the hosts, the half-century story, the gastronomy, and the unmistakably Mediterranean spirit — while staying easy for the team to keep current. In collaboration with Dialogue Design (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the rooms, the people, the history, and the restaurant together into one warm, image-led home.

Sourced from a trusted network of producers and partners and built on uncompromising quality, the ARI range now travels to 29 countries across Europe and the Americas. ARI needed a digital presence as carefully composed as the products themselves — bilingual, photography-led, export-aware, and easy for the in-house marketing team to keep current as the range and the export network grow. Athlon Motion App

Mobile Apps, Platforms

Athlon is a move-to-earn mobile app that rewards users for walking. Each step counts towards earning Motions, redeemed as partner coupons for real-world products and services. Reliable step tracking is the currency of the whole system, so the app reads activity from a native pedometer backed by Apple Health and Android Health — accurate, battery-friendly, and resilient to backgrounding. On top of that foundation sits a full engagement layer: a coupon marketplace, in-app lotteries and giveaways, and — most recently — step challenges, where an administrator sets a goal (say, 30,000 steps in three days) with a prize, and users opt in and compete to hit it. Behind the app, a full management CMS lets administrators run partner stores, coupons, lotteries, and challenges, and read deep analytics — stats per device, total steps, averages, redemptions, and engagement. Athlon also tracks environmental impact, converting activity into ecological metrics, and is a proud Supporter Member of the We4All Environmental Alliance. Full push notifications keep every loop alive — new coupons, lottery draws, challenge milestones, and nudges to keep moving. Kukarika built the entire ecosystem: the cross-platform app, the management CMS, and the API that ties them together.

AUA

Mobile Apps

The Agricultural University of Athens accessibility app was created with one primary purpose: to make it easier for people with disabilities to move around the university’s premises, while also keeping all users informed about announcements, staff, and more. Opening the app reveals a central menu of four sections — Map, Staff, Rooms, and Alert. The headline feature is the full campus map: the user picks the point they want to reach, and the app guides them there with spoken voice directions — a genuine accessibility companion, not just a static plan. The Staff section lists every member of university personnel, searchable and filterable by school or department, with a detail view per person. Rooms splits into Classrooms and Offices, again searchable in writing or by school and department. Alert puts an immediate phone line to the campus guard post one tap away in an emergency. A second menu surfaces school announcements, settings, version and terms information, school switching, and logout. Published on the App Store and Google Play and designed by Blind Studio, the app is backed by a complete management CMS that lets the university’s secretariat and administration keep every part of it current on their own.

Naoussa Industrial Tour

Mobile Apps, Platforms

Virtual Journey through the Industrial Traces of Naoussa” (acronym ΕΙΤΑΒΙΟΝΑ, project code Τ1ΕΔΚ-01375) is an EU-funded research and innovation project, co-financed by Greece and the European Union under the ESPA “Research–Create–Innovate” programme, with Kukarika Apps as implementing partner alongside archaeologist-museologists George Adamidis and Valia Amoiridou. Naoussa — once the “Manchester of the Balkans,” a city of hydro-powered textile mills that fell into a deep crisis after its abrupt deindustrialisation in the early 1990s — carries a rich industrial past whose shells now stand idle and unused. The project documents, studies, and brings that heritage back to life: a “virtual tour” platform that runs along the city’s Arapitsa river, where the old textile mills are scattered, turning an ordinary walk into a personal, interactive storytelling experience. Using portable augmented-reality and geolocation technologies, visitors aim their phone camera at the industrial shells, pull up scholarly texts, oral testimonies, and digital reconstructions, and move through a curated industrial trail — connecting Naoussa to other former industrial centres of the region (Thessaloniki, Edessa, Veria) and to the new Industrial Heritage Documentation Centre, ΕΡΙΑ. Kukarika co-led and fully developed the technology — the mobile AR app, the serious games, the 3D and video-art pipeline, and the content backend — end to end.

faristonevillas

Websites

Fari Stone Villas is a collection of eco-luxury villas and suites on the island of Thassos, built to coexist with nature and the surrounding communities. Set in a privileged ecosystem, the brand tailors an experience around awareness and respect — encouraging guests to observe the habitat, appreciate it, coexist peacefully, and acknowledge its boundaries, while pursuing a genuinely environmentally-conscious lifestyle and sustainable development. The villas exemplify the balance between an eco-conscious lifestyle and luxury: sleek, minimal spaces — like the 66 sq.m. Suite 01 with private pool — with clean, abstract aesthetics, a relaxed Mediterranean summer mood, and a full set of comforts, from quiet air conditioning and fully-equipped kitchens to sea-view gardens, anatomic anti-allergic beds, and Nespresso coffee facilities. Through Eco action, Fari Stone Villas create an ecological immersion that offers hands-on insight into sustainable living. The website had to hold both halves of that identity at once — luxury and ecology — present the villas and their amenities beautifully, and lead guests cleanly to a booking. In collaboration with Dialogue Design (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform with a bespoke image slider, bringing the sustainability ethos, the villas, the amenities, and the booking path together into one calm, image-led home.

Nassibé Estate is a luxury hospitality property that combines exclusive accommodation, elegant architecture, and unique guest experiences. Designed for visitors seeking comfort, privacy, and sophistication, the Estate required a digital presence that reflects its premium identity and international appeal.
In collaboration with Blind Studio (design), Kukarika developed a custom WordPress ecosystem powered by Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) with flexible content blocks and custom components, giving the Estate a platform to showcase its accommodation, services, and lifestyle experiences with ease.

Piney Mobile App

Mobile Apps

Piney is the go-to platform for adventurers in London to uncover and enjoy incredible activities without breaking the bank. It curates exclusive deals across a wide range of experiences — from dining at the trendiest new restaurants to outdoor thrills like rock climbing — across the local area and wider London, matched to each user’s interests. Users discover places near them with GPS and maps, personalise their feed with picks (what they prefer to eat, the activities they’re into), book a table online, pay securely through Stripe, claim deals and discounts, and share what they find on Instagram — all behind a full login system with Apple and Google sign-in. UI/UX was designed by Marilia Ntarili; Kukarika built the cross-platform app and a complete management CMS that lets the team run the entire catalogue — places, deals, categories, users, and content — without engineering. London-based, built for a culture of savvy, informed consumers living their most vibrant life.

Callisto

Eshops - b2b

Callisto — Environmental Organization for Wildlife and Nature was founded in 2004 in Thessaloniki by scientists specialising in environmental issues, and has since grown into a community of citizens, volunteers, and local partners protecting Greece’s wildlife and ecosystems. To support its mission, Callisto needed a modern digital platform that could both inform and activate the public — showcasing dozens of projects and EU-funded programmes, publishing news, and enabling donations and product sales. With design by Blind Studio and development by Kukarika, the new custom WordPress + WooCommerce ecosystem was built with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and flexible components, functioning as a dynamic hub for awareness, participation, and fundraising.

physiohouse

Websites

PhysioHouse is one of the leading physiotherapy and rehabilitation centres in Greece, led by Kyriakos Chatzikosmidis. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation is the medical field that strengthens and restores functional ability — and PhysioHouse exists to give people the power to endure and overcome their condition, and ultimately change their lives. The centre combines deep clinical experience, advanced techniques, and latest-generation technology, with a team of experienced physiotherapists using evidence-based methods to diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. From preventive care that keeps wellbeing high and injuries at bay, through to personalised treatment plans that restore mobility and overall wellness, the practice is built on science, technology, and care. The website had to communicate that authority and warmth at once — clinical credibility paired with a genuine sense of support — while staying easy for the PhysioHouse team to keep current. In collaboration with Dialogue Design (design), Kukarika delivered a custom WordPress + ACF platform that brings the philosophy, the services, the team, and the technology together into one trustworthy, easy-to-maintain home.

Naoussa Industrial Tour
